Music Of The Night

I am SUCH a fan of mesh clothing, as I'm sure is pretty obvious by now. I was very excited to hear about the Avenue's Mix + Mesh fashion fair! Bunches of mesh in one place? Sign me up! Although this is different than my normal style, I loved the Marta gown by Jador Fashion. So elegant!

Style - Music of the night

Style - Music of the night, Close Up

I haven't seen a lot of mesh corsets yet, which is a shame because you can see from the photo that you REALLY get a corseted look with mesh! I feel like I should lie on a fainting couch somewhere with my bosom heaving. This outfit also has a very precious little eye mask, and although it's not shown here, it has a little hat! Pretty pretty!

I will say that this gown is truly more suited for photos because the skirt really moves with the legs. While that gives you great effects for photos in some poses, it doesn't quite work with walking or dancing.

Mix + Mesh starts tomorrow, February 25th at 1pm SLT, and lasts until March 11th. You will, obviously, need to be on a mesh enabled viewer to go if you want to get the full effect!

You make me wanna...

The lingerie challenge is over, but that doesn't mean I have to put my clothes back on, does it? It does? Well...how about just half way?

Style - You Make Me Wanna...

At the Festival of Sin, Elymode has these awesome Lussuria sheer tanks, skirts, and stockings! The skirts have the crotch panel, and you can choose the regular prim version or the part mesh version. The part mesh one means you can edit it slightly, mostly to pull it down in the back. At least, I always end up having to pull them down in these kinds of skirts. My butt is high or something.

GOS came out with these awesome Triumph boots for the Festival, and women were lined up outside his stall before the Festival even fully opened just to get these boots! [And to see Mr. Voom himself!] They are mesh boots but come in two pieces. You get a choice to wear the leg part up like I have it her, or rolled down to show in the inner lining. Or you could always wear just the foot part under some wide legged jeans.

Oh! Let me tell you about this skybox I took my pic in today! Trompe Loeil came out with the Ka'u Beach House skybox and it's AMAZING! It's mesh and it's like a beach house at night, with everything you'd really need right in the box, down to the waves and the moon! Seriously fantastic!

Okay, written enough! :)

In Love With Her Own Reflection

The Festival of Sin is opening on Saturday!! So excited! The seven deadly sims are all represented well and I just know you guys will find something that catches your eye.

Style - In Love With Her Own Reflection

Solange brings us the Carnal lingerie, and it is as gorgeous as you would expect from one of Second Life's long time designers. It reminds me of a burlesque costume with the pannier skirt! It also matches the new mesh Khan heels by Ingenue. You can't see it in the picture, but the heels have a tiny row of spikes up the bace of the shoe. My necklace is by Caroline's Jewelry for the Festival and is called Tangled Mess. It really is a tangled little mess of thin chains. It's fabulous!

My pose is from Frooti from the Beautiful Vanity pack for the Festival. It comes with the mirror! Now I really can just run around staring at myself!

The Festival of Sin opens on February 18th at 5pm SLT.

Lean On Me

I'm forever looking for good friends poses. Well, okay, I'm forever looking for good poses in general, but it's not always easy to find good poses for girl friends! And I always want to have great friend poses since I have some awesome girl friends, like my forever wifey and creator of Funky Junk, Ulaa!

Style - Lean On Me

Fluke came out with the Lean On Me pose, and it's just adorable! Ulaa and I are both a little on the "short" side [about 5'6-5'7 on the height slider] and it fit us PERFECTLY without any modding at all. Love!

What I also love is the new Petit Ami sweater from Entente! The sweater is mesh, and you get the base sweater in grey with a texture HUD. Then you just buy texture packs! I bought the Stripes - Vibrant pack and I'm so happy with it! The base sweater comes in both male and female sizes [standard sizes for the female].

Okay, bye!

A Little Different

So earlier tonight, the awesome posemaker Adorkable Peapod offered a challenge to the bloggers. Blog something that is out of your norm! Like if you always blog high editorial fashion, blog yourself in jeans and a tshirt. Or if you do lovely girly looks, go crazy sci-fi or grungy. This sounded like fun to me! But what in the world would I do?? So I ran to the one place I knew would have some fantastic costumes - BARE ROSE!! I could not stop looking at everything because I haven't been there in so long. I just love what I picked out!!

Style - A Little Different

This is the Brass Armor Lady. I am glad I lift weights because this is some heavy armor!! But it's SO COOL. I guess this would be considered steampunk maybe? I'm so bad at knowing all the different things. But I've got goggles and there are grenades on the back of my belt with little propellors. I think they're grenades. I'm actually not sure! EVERYTHING is included in this outfit, even the boots, and it's less than $200L. Oh Bare Rose, how much I love you!

Thank you, Adorkable, for pushing us into something a little different! This was SO MUCH FUN for me! I want more costumes now! I hope all of you choose to take on this challenge!

P.S. I Love You

Valentine's Day is tomorrow! It's a big day for women to prance around in sexy lingerie, but what do you do when you're a girl on a budget? Easy! Check out Attitudes Lingerie! If you look on their marketplace store you can get these Lace Pantyhose for one Linden!

Style - P.S. I Love You

These were like my holy grail of pantyhose when I stumbled upon them. They're totally well made and come in 3 colors with different opacities of each color. They're mod, so you could even tint them whatever color you need. Sometimes pantyhose can be pricier than you'd want in SL, but these? Worth much more than the $1L pricetag.

Oh, and head out to Mandala if you're looking for a great set of inexpensive jewelry! The Milky Way set in Hawthorn red was $77L just a few days ago [might possibly still be!] and it has rings and nails and bracelets and all that good stuff! Mandala jewelry is AMAZING, so if you're not familiar with them, this set will totally get you hooked!

And Wasabi Pills came out with new mesh hair today! The Sybille hair is so so pretty and although you can't see it THAT well in this picture, you can be sure that I'll be wearing it a lot in upcoming blog posts!

Ooh one more thing! Did you know the Festival of Sin is coming up on the 18th? It's going to be SO awesome! My pose is from aDORKable Poses from the Touch Me pack for the Festival. Sexy poses!! Love!

Okay, I have to go squeal over all my goodies and maybe find a shirt to put on.

Ready For A Fall

Do you ever just stumble upon something and you almost scream with delight because it was JUST what you were looking for, even though you didn't quite know it? That happened to me today! I was actually on the hunt for lingerie to wear with my new Flutter boots from Lassitude & Ennui for the upcoming Back To Black event. In kind of desperation, even though I knew they wouldn't have it, I went to BoHo HoBo. And then I saw it. A Necktie Skirt!!!!

Style - Ready for a fall

I just fell in love at ONCE. Then, borrowing from my fashion inspiration Aria Montgomery, I put the rest of my look together. It was so easy, especially with the Artilleri Make A Wish necklace and the L'espoir bag from Je Suis, both pieces also from the Back To Black event. Oh, if you get this skirt, be prepared to shrink your butt a little. It's on on the slim side and while it IS mod, I found that shrinking my butt down was easier!

Then I happened to find myself at Sopor Aeternum, a really kind of spooky and haunting place that I will DEFINITELY be going back to! It was creepy and pretty all at the same time!

Cooking in my underwear!

Do you think Aldwyn will get mad that I'm serving us microwave dinners as long as I warm them up wearing this??

Style - Cooking in my underwear

I decided to kick it old school today and head over to Solange to look for some underwear. Hey, I'll admit it! I was NOT a big lingerie wearer/shopper before this challenge! Solange has been in SL forever, so I knew I'd find something great, even if it wasn't the newest thing. I found this set, Amore, on sale! It's a couple of years old, I think, but quality items never ever go out of style. I really like it! The bra is small enough in front to show some underboob, but the back is more like a tank top. Cute and VERY inexpensive! I think it was $87L, and there were a lot of Solange lingerie on sale for great prices. See? Stocking up on sexy undies doesn't have to break the bank!

I think the microwave dinged!

Books are the quietest and most constant of friends

I have always been a HUGE reader. I started when I was barely past my 3rd birthday and cannot seem to stop. My bookshelves are double stacked. I still prefer real books to Kindles/Nooks/whathaveyous. When I heard that the theme for this month's Collabor88 was Classic Novels, I squealed in delight! The designers did SUCH a wonderful job interpreting the theme!!

Style - Books are the quietest and most constant of friends

From Whippet & Buck comes the Tess lingerie. [And yay for the lingerie challenge!] It's simple and cute, just the way that I like it! Little bows, little lace, perfect!

Trompe Loeil set out the Novel Decor Bedroom Duo behind me. An awesome mesh bed and book table, this is a must have in any book AND mesh lover's home! I just love the colors. It's a little darker than I'd have normally, but oh so pretty!

Not at Collabor88, but new today, Elikatira released her newest mesh hair, Abbey! LOVE the back of this hair!

Style - Books are the quietest and most constant of friends, Back view

Although I think everyone should love reading, you should STOP reading now and go shopping!

Namaste

I always get excited for the events put on by Chic Management! They're always well put together with some fantastic designers. The upcoming Back To Black event is no different! Back To Black is an awareness event [not a charity event!] focusing on mental health and other disorders that impact our lives. When I saw the Leisure Outfit by Izzie's, I knew I HAD to put it on. I was diagnosed with Generalized Anxiety Disorder over 10 years ago, and relaxation is definitely something that I work for every day!

Style - Namaste

I am seriously in love with the pants of this outfit! I want 20 pairs! And the lovely tank with the peace symbol flows just right. It's also mod, so if you need to make it bigger or smaller, it's no problem.

Also for the event is the Yoga Studio by Elefantu. This thing is AWESOME!

Style - Namaste, Yoga Studio

The picture honestly doesn't do it justice. When I got into it, I felt like I was in a real yoga studio! There are 8 mats with poses, so you and your friends can have a lovely in world yoga session to relax yourselves. It IS a little primmy, at just over 400 prims, but well worth every prim, in my opinion.

Back To Black opens to the public on February 11th. Don't miss it!

I need the right tool

I don't know WHY he sends me out to the garage to find anything. I don't know a ratchet from a hex-nut. Maybe I should call him out here to help me find the proper tool...

Style - I need the right tool

More lingerie! I got this set, Kira a while back from Seldom Blue. I'm not sure why I don't really wear it - it's totally lovely! There is a fluffy skirt with a train included with the set, as well as some frills for the knickers.

Now about that tool...

So, Let Me Tell You A Story

So I was trying to find something to wear for my lingerie challenge post today. I didn't feel like being SEXY, but cute and normal. I discovered the Amity set by Nyte N Day in my inventory, much to my delight! I didn't even realize I had it! I threw it on and thought, "Oh, I better go see if this is even still available in the store," since I didn't know when I had bought this. I don't like to go out in my underpants, so I just threw on some shorts over it, and I was already wearing over the knee socks and some big fluffy boots. I figured I'd just run in real quick anyway, so I didn't even bother turning off my dance HUD. But don't you know who was standing there at the front of the store as I hippity-hopped my way in? Nyte Caligari, owner of the store.

Style - So let me tell you a story

I'm not sure if she even saw me, I'm pretty sure she was working. But next time I will certainly get dressed and stop dancing before going shopping!!

You're My Angel

Day 3 of the lingerie challenge! Last year when I was getting married, I received a lovely lingerie set from Mon Cheri called You Are My Angel, which of course reminded me of the Aerosmith song! It's super pretty, don't you think?

Style - You're my Angel

It's a really great set with different colors of stockings and the choice of a thong or bikini panty. And really? Who doesn't feel just a little more glamorous wearing a boa??

IKON [aka Fashism rebranded] opened their doors today! I loved Fashism's eyes, so I was excited to see that some were still in the store, along with some brand new eyes! If you're in the IKON VIP group, there is a free pair for you today at the store. I couldn't resist buying some new Light Blue eyes.

Style - You're My Angel, Closeup

Loving them!

I need to go dance around and pretend I'm an innocent delicate angel now!

Think Of Me

More lingerie! I'm not sure if I'll be able to complete this challenge, I'm starting to get cold! But luckily I have some new hair to drape over me!

Style - Think Of Me

For Stumblebum this round, Truth has put out the Lana style! Thick, lush, and long - just my kind of hair!! The hair comes with the lower attachment just in case you're a little more on the boobsy side, or you need to move it around for photographs like I did here. Since it's for Stumblebum, the regular color packs for Lana are $200L each until the 14th.

My lingerie for today comes from Blacklace! I'm not terribly familiar with most of their things since I am actually pretty bad about buying lingerie regularly. I'm wearing the Sahara set in red floral and lace. I think it's so pretty! In the future, I might just wear the bra and panties since I'm not actually much of a corset girl. Very pretty!

Stumble In My Undies

The new round of Stumblebum has started! Until the 14th, you can get all kinds of goodies! And since Gogo wants everyone in their underwear, the Little Ache lingerie from Kyoot for this Stumblebum round was perfect!

Style - Stumble In My Undies

Frooti is also in Stumblebum this time around, and I'm doing one of the poses from the "I Do" pack. There's also a couples pose for those of you who are pregnant in SL!

This round of Stumblebum is until February 14th, so go get shopping!
